Spell Bound is the third and final book in the Hex Hall trilogy. And honestly it was a very good ending. I’m finding it hard to conjure any thoughts on this book without spoiling anything but I’ll try.
The story starts about a few minutes after the last book, but there’s was enough back story giving that if it’s been awhile since you’ve read book 2, you’ll have enough info to follow along.
There was a bit of character development with Sophie, which was nice to see. She gained confidence in herself and her powers through the help of her friends mostly but also her dad. I did like the twist in Sophie’s heritage, even though I did see it coming from a mile away.
The big ending wasn’t very exciting. The buildup was very intense, but the big ending happened within a few pages and then they went to the cleanup. There is a bit of a cliff-hanger at the end, but honestly I’m kind of over it. I mean, I might have read a spin-off series for this cliff-hangar, but the author doesn’t plan on it so…
Either way, if you’re looking for an easy, cute read, check out this series.
