I was provided a copy of this book through NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for my honest review.
I was so excited for this book. The main character would rather read than socialize, but still tries to help the people of Broken Wheel through books.
I was so disappointed.
There were multiple point of views and multiple different subplots along with that. There was a lot of thinking and pondering with each POV but not a lot of doing. A whole page would be a character thinking about the same “dilemma” without getting anywhere. It was kind of frustrating.
With all of the thinking, there wasn’t a lot of speaking or doing. There were a lot of parts where I wondered why two characters didn’t just talk about their feelings instead of just thinking about them and wondering what the other person was thinking.
I was just so bored with this book, and it was very underwhelming. I wouldn’t recommend this book.
